Compton and Bennett (Rick Compton and Betsy Bennett) are the Southwest Florida dual version of Mark Russell. The two have been working as a comedic team for 14 years. They write and perform humorous songs and sketches that skewer local institutions and people. Give them a sacred cow, and they'll serve it up shish kebab style and ask, "You want fries with that?"
They're zany and irreverent and fun.

Compton and Bennett's "The History of Collier County ... According to Us!"
They advertise the show as "a satirical examination of what made Naples what it is today." Elsewhere on their poster they have: "This show is courageously sponsored in part by the City of Naples Community Services Department." That should give you an idea of what we're dealing with here.
